In the sense that any of these cars that are left at all are genuine survivors, and are probably in demand because of their rarity.  I'm sure a lot of people who are around my age and who now have money have memories of their parents or friends parents having these cars.  I definitely remember riding around in the back of one plenty of times as a kid.

Oh, anyone from like 35 to 55 can easily play the six degrees of K-car, or Sunfire/Cavalier.

Renault Megane RS

Some import cars up to a certain year were LHD in Japan. Porsche comes to mind.

Speaking of Renault...

"FATAL CRASH INVESTIGATION
A 57-year-old man from Heron Bay is dead after a devastating collision on des Pionniers Avenue in Balmoral, N.B. The driver was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
This wasn't just an accident - the RCMP's Major Crime Unit is now investigating, which means police suspect foul play. They're actively searching for TWO vehicles connected to this incident:
A RED 1982 RENAULT ALLIANCE
A BLACK PICK-UP TRUCK"

Well, the red1982 Renault Alliance should be easy enough to pinpoint... how many of those could there possibly be in the province?

Also, how do they know the year?  Did the VIN plate fall off in the crash?

Yeah, pretty specific details around a 1982 Renault Alliance (which would be rusted right out by now), but no details on the black pickup? Not even, Ford, Chevy, Dodge?

Seems the Renault was the vehicle of the victim, don't know why they wrote it like they were looking for it...

Renault was quite popular in NB around 1982
