Man, when I was growing up it seemed like every second retired couple in the suburbs had one of these. Now, it seems the vehicle of choice for this demographic is a subcompact or compact SUV, I don't see many privately-owned large sedans anymore.

I love these normal cars that don't get driven very much and end up on BaT. Doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in this 28k mile purple '99 Grand Am coupe.

I love that kinda stuff. Problem is; what do you actually do with it? Hold it as a collector car / weekend toy? Probably not on a base-ish Grand Am, drive it and pile on the miles and then you've taken away what makes it special....It takes a certain person who really loves that particular car, and has the space/means, and you need at least two people like that to drive the price up.

This particular car is kinda rough too....The lower quarters in front of the rear wheels, below the cladding, is rotting out. Common spot for those cars, but still surprising at 28K, even in NY....I suspect it's lived outside most of it's life.

How about a 1979 Lincoln Continental, in Light Red Moondust Metallic with just 753 miles on it?

Now that's worth preserving.....pretty fantastic car. Ford had some flipping great colors and color schemes in the 70's.

I saw that too.  Would be a fun highway cruiser.

My Dad has a '94 Roadmaster, but not the Estate. 69k km on it now. Near showroom condition.

Rides like a dream, handles like a boat.  Surprisingly the front seat is very cramped. Not much interior space for the size of the car. Much more room in a modern day compact. I spent a few hours driving it a few weeks back and couldn't wait to get out of it.

A 1959 BMWW 507 Series II on BaT: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1957-bmw-507-roadster-2/

These are quite beautiful cars. They only built around 250 so as you'd expect they're very valuable. Two previous ones on BaT sold for nearly $2M.

$1.5M on Friday afternoon.  I'll put this on my watch list.

It ended up RNM for $1,780,000.

So this is interesting. I knew about the Mega Cruiser, but I didn't realize they offered a high roof model with a comically large windshield.

Lots of seats!

I remember this XKR being for sale in Fredericton at a dealer way back in like 2008-2009. They had it for forever but their cars were often overpriced and sat for ages. Not sure I understand that business model. Anyways, love these in red, and love those BBS wheels. One of the best looking modern coupes IMO.

Who could forget First Class Auto, back when they sold only interesting vehicles.  For sure they were always overpriced, but at least they were a one stop place to view used luxury vehicles.  Now I think they are just the Kia dealers used car lot.
