This seems like a no brainer. Anybody here using?

While I currently use Level 1 for the Prius, no reason I can't charge level 2. Also, the possibility exists of bigger PHEV or full EV as a Prius replacement.

I think I'd likely get the Classic Connect 40a charger.

That program did not exist when I bought my 2nd EVSE in 2023. I was tempted by the Canuck connection, but in the end went with a very compact Wallbox, which had to be replaced under warranty a few years in. The Grizzl-e is cheap, but very boxy, and reviews went from "great" to "absolute junk". No clear line at the time.

In retrospec, I should have gotten another ChargePoint. My 2017 unit, installed outdoors, is still going strong. It needed a remote factory reboot once, and that's it.

But that club thing - I don't get it. Where are they making money with this? Ontario thing maybe?

I believe companies are paying them as carbon credits. So in effect, companies that need to meet their carbon goals are essentially paying for EV use.

So probably not a thing in QC, where we have our own carbon taxing system (of course...)

So, this will only be a thing as long as carbon pricing exists?

If the Conservatives ever get in and completely axes carbon pricing / incentives, I imagine a business case for this program will no longer exist and it will just disappear?
