Awesome! Looks like you're having plenty of fun with it, as you should!

That was the first time I got it out in the snow. We had a good dump yesterday that was fluffy & dry so I went hooning around the neighbourhood after I finished snowblowing the driveway. It's actually decent enough in the snow. Off the line it struggles to get traction, but once moving it does decent. Went down a few unplowed roads & never got stuck. With studded winters it would really rock 🤣

I see that Wing made it easier to post pics... was up in Tremblant skiing a couple of weekends ago, figured the 997 was the obvious choice. Plenty of room for Bella & I and all of our ski gear, clothes, food & drinks for a weekend away. Tucked in the underground parking at the condo we rented.

Looks sharpe.  Do you find a lot of wind noise with the roof box?

I'm kinda used to the noise of the box as it's on the Passport all winter. I find just the bars alone on the 997 to whistle a bit even though they're aero bars & not square. The box calms that noise down. I still have the box on it, haven't had a chance to take it off, so I take it to hockey on Thursday's & throw my hockey bag & sticks in the box. Gets a lotta looks when I show up.

That's awesome.  The number of people who can claim they have taken their 911 skiing and to hockey is likely pretty low.  The Passport is definitely the vehicle that people would expect you to show up in at that those locals.

Are you going to bring that thing to the track?
I might go to SMP on the 26th evening for some lapping. There's some lapping tomorrow, but I'm not ready.

(BTW, I tested ski-racks to 100mph on my way to Tremblant many years ago)

I'd like to get it out onto the track at some point, but at the same time don't wanna blow it up on the track either. My buddy blew up his 996 on the track by starving the engine of oil during hard cornering. He's a Porsche mechanic so he replaced the engine himself, swapped in a 997 Turbo engine. I might do a bit more sorting before I get it out on the track. For now it makes a great summer DD & I drive it as much as possible.

One year anniversary for me & the 997 today. Gave it a MUCH needed bath this afternoon & tucked it away in the garage for the night. Nothing really to report, put close to 12k kms on it & it's been treating me fantastic, puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. The wail of the flat 6 is quite intoxicating... still need an upgraded exhaust though.

Still looks fantastic and good to see you actually using it and enjoying it.

After a year with it, has anything surprised you?  Is there anything that you wished was maybe better (outside of the exhaust note)?  Favourite aspect of the car?

Get a Fister Sport.

Had them on my 996.
