I was probably one of Chargepoint's first customers in Quebec, having my unit installed in August 2017. That thing has been running fine, and only needed one factory reset about 5 years in. That one sees tons of cars, with multiple pressers getting juiced up. Never failed to work.

I got the Wallbox Pulsar Plus for inside the garage in January 2024 (subsidized thanks to the CX-90 purchase). That one never juiced up another vehicle, and is not really used in the summer as the CX-90 sits outside. Had an error code displayed in the app and a fixed red light on it for the last 2 days. and after troubleshooting with every trick in the book, I called Wallbox customer service. They logged on to it and just confirmed it's dead.

Replacement is free, and will be mailed to me, but there are other similar stories on the web. Shoulda spent an extra $300 and got another Chargepoint...

I had the Flo X3 installed when I bought my Bolt. I didn't do a ton of research, but the price was reasonable and the electrician I hired does exclusively EV charger installations, has 4.7 stars on Google, and recommended it. So far it's been flawless and easy to use, but I don't see why it wouldn't be since it's a pretty simple charger.

It has smart capabilities and presumably an app, but I've never used either because the Internet connection from my second-floor condo doesn't make it down to the garage. Didn't think of that until the charger was installed, but no big deal because I can adjust the charging parameters directly from the car.

Flo is sturdy, designed and made in Quebec but is expensive. I would have went with another Chargepoint if not for the Wallbox showing up at Costco at a great price ($700). It's very small and was a perfect fit for my garage. App easy to use, good wifi connexion. It's main flaw in daily use is that the cord is waaaayyy too stiff, even though it's inside an attached & heated garage. Hoping the replacement unit does better!

Received my replacement unit, a complete kit with cord, mounting hardware etc. Since the heavy lifting had already been done by the electrician, I made the swap myself. Hardest bit was bending wiring of this caliber! While at it, I used better drywall anchors for the cord storage gizmo, improving the electrician's job. Breaker back on, it fired right up and I updated the firmware and finished the configuration on the phone app. 1st charge was successful. Now we'll see if this unit lasts longer!
