Caught a nice afternoon yesterday & did my yearly oil change. Was done fairly quickly so I also swapped the winters on as well. My summer rears are done, I put about 16k kms on them & they were at 4.7mm when I picked up the car, so not too bad at all. Not really a fan of the tires (Bridgestone Potenza Sport) and would like to switch to something else (most likely Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02), but my fronts are almost new as they were installed June 2024, so I kinda want all 4 matching. Option is to replace the fronts & sell them on Kijiji or Facebook marketplace. That's a spring problem though I suppose.

Nice work, definitely got all the life out of those tires.

Awesome man! 8) I figured you'd end up with some variant of 911 after the SLK55.  Did the boys get to drive it yet? ;D

Wish I was in the market for the SLK55 when you were selling.  I plan on getting another roadster type vehicle but probably not until next year as I'm tapped out for this year.  I just have to figure out storage.

^thanks buddy! Coming up on three years of ownership & it gets driven quite a bit. Lately it's been my afternoon car, lol!! I take it to golf after work, to hockey, out for dinner/drinks... the CX-70 takes me to the gym & back in the morning's. Mind you the 997 has more gas in it at the moment as well, while the CX-70 hast the fuel light on :D

Boys haven't had the chance to drive it yet, I did offer it to my oldest, but he was too nervous. Bella has driven it quite a few times & enjoys driving it. Gotta take Tortoise out in it at some point this summer, pretty sad that he lives 5mins from me & we haven't gotten out in it.

I do miss the SLK55, the V8 just sounded fabulous, and the open air experience was fantastic :D

Three years!!  JFC, time flies!   :P

Surprising amount of Porches in my small hood.  One guy has a nice 911 GTS in Gentian Blue, 991 I believe.  Got to get to know that guy!   ;D
