Hi guys, as you all know the autos forums went offline last December but the plug as not been pulled, it's strictly a technical issue.

Latest news from Trader is that they fully intend to resolve that issue and save the contents, however they are stumped. IT is also quite busy with a main site platform change, so it's not the priority at the moment.

I was given a link to something I had not idea even existed: the Internet Wayback Machine, a public web archive.

Autos is there: https://web.archive.org/web/20240213071552/https:/www.autos.ca/

I've never used this before. I'm able to access the forum menus, but not the posts.

We all have content we'd like to save, in my case my member reviews.

If anybody is able to access actual posts, let's share how in this thread!

This just in: Trader has hired a contractor to fix Autos since all of its internal ressources are busy on a major project. No dates of course, and they still don't know what the problem is, but there's a clear will to get it to crank up again  :)

I know what one of the problems is.

Let's see how long it takes them to figure it out.

So like, yeah, y'all have finally accepted that this is perma-dead right? While it sucks for us and it's sad to lose all those threads from 20+ years, I genuinely don't see any business case for them to keep it open beyond the legacy appeal for like, twenty awkward guys on the Internet  ;D
