It'll be interesting to see how the fuel economy is compared to your old Tundra.  In theory it should be a pretty big gain but real world will prove how much of an improvement it truly is.

Seeing as your old truck was 15 years old, and how trucks keep getting bigger, do you find the new Tundra feels larger, smaller, or about the same?

^ I'm interested also Johnnymac.  It will be an improvement for sure, but I'm thinking more like 10-15%. For reference, in my daily commute I was seeing about 16L/100km in the summer and 17-18 in the winter.

The truck looks smaller to me, but its longer and wider.  It feels more open although the windshield seems shorter.  It feels bigger to me driving it, and more disconnected, as in I can't tell as well when the rear end is kicking out or when the front is going to let go.  Its really cold and roads are icy here lately, and I'm honestly nervous driving it around out of 4wd.  I'm at the tire shop right now getting winters on so that will make a big difference.

Other than that, it rides better, is much quieter, and I'm sure it will handle better overall once I get a chance to drive on normal roads.  Reliability aside, I prefer the V6 over the 5.7 V8 (gasp!).  Its quieter, smoother, and more powerful.  Obviously it doesn't sound as good.

I realize I'm comparing an '07 to a '26.  The newest second gen Tundra I drove was an '18, and it felt just like my '07.  I'm sure the '21s feels very similar as there wasn't big changes to the chassis/suspension.  Second gen was such a great truck though for its time.

Not shocking given where you live and also that the Big 2+1 sell at least 10x more than Tundra

Congrats! Hopefully it's as dependable as the old truck.

Congrats!  Sharp looking rig.
