I think a vanity plate is a bit different than trying to hermetically seal a normal car for 40 years...LOL 😆

Corolla was still in the 8th generation 25 years ago, the XRS variation would not come for another few years in the middle of the 9th generation. Nissan X-Trail also wasn't introduced until the 2005 model year. Elantra, Civic, CRV, and RAV4 seem to be correct. Any truck errors?

Well, the Ram is incorrect.  The 3rd gen didn't debut until the 2003 model year.

The X-trails all ended up in BC. They're super common out here. Good alternative to a CRV or Rav4 back in the day, I imagine they were cheaper. They also seem fairly reliable and simple.

We looked at one back in 2004 when we needed 3 car seats in the same car (they would not fit in my wife's 1999 CR-V). The boxy shape and flat rear bench were child-seat friendly. Canadian exclusive, not sold in the US and available with a stick. It had the ability to lock the center diff or something - it was more off-road ready than many competitors. The center-mounted instruments were weird. In the end, we ended up with a Mazda MPV, the least reliable and most rust-prone car we've ever owned. The X-Trails quickly disappeared from Quebec roads too as their rustproofing was severely lacking.

Me Mum had an X-Trail.  Hers was a Bonavista edition, which was a Canadian only trim level.  I remember driving it a few times, and it was fine - kind of a buzzy 4 cylinder.  The AWD system was actually quite capable in the snow.
