So with all this news of AI and data centers and what not there seems to be some great movement towards things like the tech companies, mentals/minerals, and energy companies.  Which all makes sense but there is one sector that hasn't gotten as much attention, that sector is the water sector.  These data centers require a lot of water and I would assume it'll keep expanding at a crazy rate, just for fun I decided to buy some stocks in a water centered stock called CWW, which is basically a Global Water Index ETF.

This will be a long hold type of thing with the hopes that if water becomes some resource that is limited and becomes costly I'll be into the commodity before it truly takes off.

Water = the new oil. I'd say its a sound investment.

Here's a question.  it's been a long time since I've travelled to the US.

I'm heading there for 5 days on Friday.

Is it smarter to just use my Canadian Mastercard for all purchases, and just rely on its default exchange rate?  My card uses the M/C default exchange rate, plus 2.5%.

Or, should I go to my bank and withdraw some cash in US bills?

I'm not going to be buying a ton of things, but I'll be spending money on things like groceries, beer, various sundries required when camping, etc.

Just use your Canadian Mastercard, just confirm the fx fee that they're using and compare it to your other cards, it can vary card to card.
