Coming back after a long absence.

But another thing that makes me happy is I am now employed again. I got into the Navy as a Naval Warfare Officer, and will be specializing in undersea warfare. Going to be an XO on one of the new subs in a few years if all goes well. Finally a career that may stick and a job that is steady where I can start planning for retirement one day, and have benefits, etc. If you cant teach...do in my case I guess.

I am just glad to be earning money again.

Oh and I have a car again too. Points to anyone who guesses what it is  ;D

Welcome back buddy!! That's quite the update!! WOW!!! Congrats on the new role :D

As for the car, that's a tough one to guess without many hints. I know you wanted another Alfa, but maybe that's down the road... so who knows?

Is it the Fiat 500 that's still in the family?

You got it! Bought it back from my brother, gave it some much needed TLC and new tires...and it is now my daily. The amount of fun just driving to the store is fantastic.

Got some more Mattel Brick Shop Hotwheels block set.  A Mercedes Benz 300SL, which truly is a beauty and the centerpiece of my collection, was able to find it heavily discounted for $80.  The level of detail on this version was pretty impressive.  There's luggage, plaid seats, a hood release inside the cabin, loads of metal pieces, a spare tire in the trunk, etc.

The off road version of the Lambo Huracan.  And probably one of my favorites an 83 Chevy Silverado, or as I like to call it a "Carleton Country Caddy", which is the area where I grew up where this sort of truck was every guys dream rig.

In the picture of the whole collection, if you look beyond that off in the distance you can see my red Miata parked in my works parking lot.

Always makes me smile going into my office seeing these.

I got permission to charge the Prius at work.  This is significant, not because I care about saving the $17/month, but because the outdoor plugs at my house don't currently have capacity to charge two PHEV's at 12amps each simultaneously.

I'll just use the Prius as a Daily, and charge its smaller battery while I'm at work, which will cover me for my daily commute, and any small errands during the work day.

The incoming Rav4 can charge its 3x larger battery at home, and remain topped off for any duties that it will see (it will be the primary vehicle for going anywhere once we get it, aside from my daily commute).

Might be getting another dog to add to our pack.  We currently have a 8.5 year old female boxer and a 6 year old male boxer.  I'd like to get something that is smaller so it's somewhat easier to walk two at a time, right now we walk the two boxers separately because our male can be a bit excitable.

I've been looking for Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeder for over a year now and there just aren't any in the Maritimes.  The closest seems to be in Ontario.

Messaged one breeder that is just outside of Ottawa, we have family in Ottawa so would work well.  Thinking that it'll be at least a year or more before we'd get a puppy because there is a wait list and she only has one litter per female in a year (I believe she has two females).

After going through the questionnaire that they required, talking with the breeder about our dog owning history and what we are looking for, they informed us that they have a female currently pregnant that they'd like to put our names on for.  They mentioned an X-Ray next week to see how many puppies are in the litter.

When googling how long a Staffy pregnancy is turns out to be about 9 weeks, then asked google when an X-Ray will show the number of puppies and it said around week 6-7.  So we could be looking at getting a puppy around the holidays this season, or early January depending on when it's born and how long the breeder keeps the puppies after being born (most breeders stick to 8-10 weeks).

Here's a picture of the mother, her name is LOLA (which is funny because that's the nick name we gave my younger sister who is named Laura).
