Quote from: Firm on Jul 27, 2026, 10:38 AMBeige on is up on eBay...I put a pretty conservative reserve on it, so hopefully it'll go, I had good luck with eBay on that MGA project car, but this is very different, so we'll see how it does.

Nice!!

Hope it goes BIG!

Excellent ad Firm, I'm sure there will be a bidding war on that and you'll come out with a tidy profit for your efforts.

Thanks guys! We'll see what happens, it has a few bids, which is a good sign this early in the auction....usually there's no action until the last hour or so.

Auction closed pretty strong! Buyer has me a little annoyed, they opted to transact through eBay's secure purchase program, which goes through an eBay owned 3rd party called Caramel. They purchase the car and then finance to the buyer. Fine, whatever, but the seller has been totally non-communicative. They've been progressing through the steps; sent a deposit, verified identity, selected/secured financing, etc, so we've been progressing through the steps, but it would be nice if the dude responded to one of my messages just so we could make some direct contact.

I'm totally out of the loop on MG values.

Was that a high price paid for your car? Above average?

I'm clueless so the sale price number doesn't mean anything to me!!

That's pretty well top dollar for a 'normal' MGB, and by that I mean one that isn't some special production, no noteworthy history, no super low miles, etc, just a regular production MGB that's been used restored.

Congrats on the sale and I'd say that turned out pretty nicely in the end. Sure there is pain afterwards with the buyer not being overly communicative, but I think it'll get sorted eventually and you'll be onto different endeavors.
