Love it when shit works out like this!

Well done.

Italy - Wow! She's going to cover more miles in weeks than she did in years  ;D

In all my trips to salt-less Euro countries, I'm always amazed at how little vintage cars I see. A lot of banged-up '80s and 90's daily drivers, but little else. Makes sense than classic car lovers shop in NA.

Well it's good that you found it a new home and that it sounds like it won't just be stripped for parts.

Random thought, but have you seen or have you ever done something where you leave a signature or engravement on an old vehicle to acknowledge that you had once owned the vehicle?

Good question...I haven't done that, though I know the cars well enough that I feel like I could always identify them, I even track some of the cars I've sold over the years. My dad did/does that sort of thing though, he'll sign and date the backside of a key part or two he's installing on a project. I remember as kids he'd have us do it too...the whole family would sign the underpadding before he installed a carpet kit, or the backside of a door panel, etc. I forgot about that stuff, but this was a good memory, maybe I'll do something similar with the kiddos next opportunity.

One time I pulled a headliner out of a 3rd gen Trans Am that a local shop was parting out and inside the headliner someone had written something like "F- you for taking apart my car"  :P

Yeah I figured there must be some in the car restoring space that choose to add some sort of marking to indicate that they were the owners or maybe just the ones to have done the job.  I tend to think this was more common back in the day.
