Sold! I dropped it off at the storage area and grabbed my plates. Super easy in the end.

I'm genuinely going to miss it. It was so easy to live with and felt as though it was built to a different standard than modern cars.

I plan to go through all the service records and sum up the 19 years of maintenance.

Had to fill up my Acura, Jesus Christ supreme is getting pricy.  21 cents more than regular to Costco and typically the difference is maybe 7-8 cents.

Really wish this war in Iran is over soon, we all know the longer it goes the less likely fuel will go down.

Yeah, I wouldn't exclude exporters, just be sure to document everything. Signing the ownership means nothing, dude chucks that piece of paper in the trash and the vehicle remains registered to you

Fair enough, I'm not overly concerned as long as I've done everything correctly.

Over half of the actual offers have been from people wanting to export it, so saying no eliminates a large part of the market.

If someone mentions shipping or export, I simply respond "Thank you for your inquiry, unfortunately this vehicle is not available for shipping/export." then ignore them.

Yeah, Reddit basically says cash or bank draft only. E-transfers can be disputed and reversed. While not super common, this guy changed his story once already. I've already created the bills of sale, and once I've signed over the ownership, it's no longer mine apparently.

I received a lot of generic "is it still available" or "I'll give you $2000" messages. I tended to ignore them and respond to people who wrote out a message.

Several people said they'd come by and bailed. It's just how Marketplace goes. The ad has been marked "pending" for the last two weeks, I may have to re-open it.

I'm also pretty surprised it's still around. If someone can do there own work they'd have a reasonably well sorted Highlander for not much money.

Shocked that it's still around. I'd push that Nigeria export guy for cash too, and make sure you get a signed bill of sale. If he decides not to transfer ownership, you need something that shows you sold it, and who you sold it too. Sold a C3 Corvette many years ago, months later someone robbed a gas station or convenience store or something with it and I had cops calling me. Fortunately, I had a nice signed Bill of Sale to show who and when I sold it.

Maybe?

A guy had agreed to buy it, he was originally going to get it for his wife, but then changed plans and was going to export it to Nigeria. The agreed price was $2800, which is still fair IMO.

He was going to e-transfer me some money, but after some research I said I wanted cash. Haven't heard back yet and he said he'd by by this afternoon.

In retrospect, I should have waited to post the ad for when I was around. It would have made meeting up with people a LOT easier.
