The amount of hate online is staggering, but more telling than anything is the very real market reaction: Ferrari's stock was down over 8% at the end of reveal day.

To be fair, the interior looks really good. But the body has been compared more than once with the new Nissan Leaf (that teal colour - they were asking for it). And the colour-matched turbine wheels look like generic '80s plastic wheel covers.

Not helping: despite over 5,000 lb-ft at the wheels, the 0-60 times announced are slower than a Taycan's.

This gem is something (there was actually a much better rendering on fb, but you get it):

I know Ferrari is fairly profitable company and all, but man they are going to be eating the developmental cost of that one for a long time.

So Ferrari is sort of known for two things with their vehicles, one is that they generally look fantastic (some more than others but rarely could one say one of their products was unattractive) and the other is the sound from the engines.  This offers neither and while I do think there will be a few buyers organically, I won't be shocked if Ferrari does something where if someone wants a "special" Ferrari they must first buy one of these turds.

Said turds will start around $600k USD...

As I posted elsewhere, if Lancia wanted a $125k EV, this wouldn't be bad. Dark front end has vague Beta vibes, as does the clean interior. Replace the round tailights with rectangular ones, and you have a fine Lancia.

Ferrari hired the guy who designed the colourful iMacs and iPad instead of Pininfarina.

The OG Ferrari 4-door sedan. Only two were built, one crushed, the other is a driveable concept. Looked better.

The story on the survivor car published in 2015: https://www.autoweek.com/car-life/a1873541/first-and-only-ferrari-four-door-sedan-and-its-sale/ (https://www.autoweek.com/car-life/a1873541/first-and-only-ferrari-four-door-sedan-and-its-sale/)

QuoteNo SUVs, electric cars or four-door sedans will wear the Ferrari badge -- ever. That was former Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo's promise, and his successor Sergio Marchionne doesn't seem to be keen on rocking that particular boat (for now).
;D

This.

Someone should be fired over this.

LOL!!!  That side profile looks familar, especially the C-pillar.

I always knew the Prius had supercar pedigree, what with its carbon hatch, hahahahaha.

My god thats terrible.....well, there goes my Ferrari order this year. I can't believe this company, which has made some of the most stunning vehicles of the ages, is turning out this unpolished turd, and its an EV, gross.
