They haven't said
outright that it's the Accord, but they did call it a "hybrid sedan", so everyone is speculating that it's the Accord.
The current car's profile is already fastback-like, and my main beef with it is that it's sports-car low. This Crown-esque ride height is intriguing from that angle, and the overall shape recalls the Type 0 EV. Honda did say they're not scrapping everything from that project, so there is some of that in the new unamed car.
