Spent a week with an old friend. This generation enters its **9th** model year :o I last reviewed it when it launched as a 2018 in the summer of 2017. 2026 should be its last year, so bookend test drive!
Virtues are intact - soooo comfortable, roomy, well screwed together and the V6 is smooth and powerful.
Flaws are still intact too - it's thirsty, and expensive. The passage of time shows, the Ody being the lone minivan with no hybrid or plug-in option.

I think it's "why change a good thing", but seeing how Pilot and Passport already receive their redesigns, Odyssey would be due for one. And please move the cold air vents back to the roof. And get rid of the timing belt.
Pacifica is losing it's Hybrid option.

Indeed, that bit of news came much later than when I submitted the review. There are some limited stocks of 2026's though.
The perfect family vehicle is still a minivan imo. Can't wait to see what the next gen Ody offers.

Honda has shown a hybrid V6 setup that is supposed to be on sale in 2027 for "larger vehicles".
