It's time for new All Seasons for the CX-5.  225/65R17. I don't want to go ultra cheap with Chinese tires, but I also don't need super high performance tires.  The priorities here are low noise, decent fuel economy, and long life.

Canadian Tire has a set of Continental Ultimate Contact All Seasons on sale for $175/tire.  Installation would be $25/tire at Canadian Tire, so that rings in just under $800+tax.

BlackCircles.ca has the Pirelli Scorpion All Season Plus 3 for $175/tire with free delivery.  My mechanic would install them  for $150.  So $850+tax.

Which to go for?  Any other alternatives?

I just ordered the Continental Ultimate Contact today for our Sportwagen. 30% off sale ends today at CT.

I went with the Pirelli's from Black Circles.  I couldn't find too many reviews on the Conti's mainly because I think they're a Canadian Tire exclusive.

I've also never had a set of Pirelli's, and would like to try them out.

Hit or miss on the Pirelli's. Best tire I ever had was the Pirelli 210 Snowsports back in the mid 2000's. Worst tire I ever had was the Pirelli Scorpion ATRs that came on the Escalade when we got it.

Conti's have always been pretty good to me, on our second set of Conti TerrainContact ATs on the Escalade now. I've also been pretty impressed with Bridgestone stuff recently, on year 4 or so with BridgeStone Turanza QuietTracks on the DTS and they're probably the best touring/highway tire I've had especially from a comfort and noise perspective.

FWIW, I loved the Pirelli Scorpion all season Verde we had on our previous MDX. They were very quiet and yet better grip than the stock tires. Different tire than yours GBA, but hopefully you have a similar experience.

I'm running Pirelli P7 AS's on the Golf and really, really like them. Very smooth, quiet and handle well.  GBA, yours seem to have a very similar tread pattern, so I am sure you'll be happy.

Firm, those ATR's definitely never had good reviews.  Not surprised you hated them.

That's good to know.  I think the 'Scorpion' name simply denotes a tire made for a heavier vehicle like a CUV/SUV.  P7 is for sedans.  Other than that it's probably the same tire.

Holy Crap!  Black Circles for the win.  I ordered the tires late Tuesday.  Tires showed up at 10am this morning.  That's 36hr shipping.  And shipping was free!

Insane.
