48 hours in, sitting at 6.6 l/100 km. This is the regular hybrid, not the PHEV.

I can't get past the look of these. I think they look terrible. But that's just me.

A family friend has one of these that they bought maybe 1.5 years ago, but it's the Executive package. She seems to like it well enough but says it doesn't have the same pickup and smoothness of her old 2015-ish V6 RDX. She said if the RDX had a hybrid available she definitely would've gone that route, but Acura seems to be asleep at the wheel on that front so far...

Under "looks terrible", I found "Ineos Grenadier".

Conversation at Honda hq in Japan: "(one guy) Lexus is killing Acura with its hybrid SUVs (other guy) Hey, let's put a hybrid drivetrain in a reborn Prelude !!!"

Throttle response varies a lot depending on what drive mode is selected - Eco has a long travel and less response, as expected, Normal is fairly peppy and has "long legs" on the highway, while Sport is frisky at lower speeds. The 300+ horses PHEV is the quicker model of this breed though.

I'd want the PHEV.

Terrible may be a bit strong :)  Lexus nailed the styling with the RX, and missed with the NX IMO.  Maybe its the raked hood.

I don't mind the way this unit looks at all, in fact, I think it looks pretty damn good especially in that blue, the buzzy 4 banger is really what kills it for me. Especially at the price.

Couple weeks ago I was in a Sportage PHEV and you could barely hear & feel the 1.6t when it was lit up. A Kia. Meanwhile, the ToyoLexus atmo four is grinding coffee beans out there.

^ Ya, true dat.  However soon enough the Hyundai/Kia will be grinding its internals.

And yes, this snarkiness is coming from an owner of a V35 :)

Was going to say the same!

Toyota has never been known for their silky smooth 4 bangers.

But what they are known for is 4 bangers that last forever.

Kia/Hyundai? Not so much!
