Oh, and when looking at wheels, don't be scared by the MSRP on the manufacturer's website.  These KMC's are listed $470 US each.  I didn't pay anywhere near that.

Yup, those are the ones I like, the 318s. Can't decide between bronze or black, I feel like my wife not being able to pick out an outfit lol. The Methods are between $4-500/rim, but I don't mind. I bought some cheapy TRD knockoffs when I first bought the truck but I am kind of sick of them.

For reference, the KMC's were $340 per.

Nice! Truck looks great. I agree, a little 1.5" leveling setup up front would complete the look.

Congrats BC!  Very nice truck and nice spec!

My BIL has a '22 1794 edition in white with tan leather. Very comfortable truck. He had his engine replaced last year on spec.  He didn't have any issues but his vin was part of the recall, so new engine for him.  He had a 2016 Platinum before that.

I just crossed 20k kms on the Tundra this morning.  So far no issues as would be expected on a new vehicle.  Nothing but a couple oil changes done on the truck.

Some annoyances:
• Placement of some controls/buttons down by the left knee.  These are difficult to see and could have been raised up.
• There's no step into the bed when the tailgate is down.  So you either climb in with the tailgate up then open it, or jump/climb onto the tailgate.  There is a retractable step one can buy.  I'll likely be getting one of those.
• The truck shuts off when a door is unlocked after remote start.  This has been updated with SafetySense 4.0, but my truck has 2.5 and won't be changed.  Just another start cycle that's unnecessary.
• Remote start with the FOB is almost useless.  Short range and difficult to get the perfect sequence of button pushes to get it to work.  Basically forces you to use the app.  At this point its fine, the app functions are free for 3 years.

What I like:
• Love the TT V6.  Jury is still out if Toyota has the issues with main bearings resolved.  However, as far as power delivery goes, I'd take it over the V8 any day
• Surround view cameras - I know these are on a lot of vehicles these day, but the ability to choose different views in different scenarios has proven to be very useful. It's not something I anticipated that I'd really like.
• Rear power window - Again, not something I anticipated using much, but I roll it down frequently.  Nice for letting in some fresh air but at the same time almost no wind buffeting.
• Toyota service - I've been taking the truck in for oil changes; warranty and all that.  The service is very efficient.  Quick checks and a vacuum before it even moves in the service bay and then computer stations right where your vehicle is parked to review the servicing appointment.  Acura service sucks in comparison.
• Softex seats - zero creases/sagging in the seats.  They look like they've never been sat in.  I would take it over leather thus far.

That's about it for now.

Seeing as your last truck was a DC, it didn't have the roll down rear window.  That thing really is great.

20k kms already, eh?

Ya 20k already.  I have some ailing parents 125km away, so I've been making a lot of trips out their way.  I've been using the MDX or even the kids cars once in a while, but the kms are still adding up.  Still, not crazy mileage or anything.  My round trip work commute is also 62km.

I really like the surround cameras, the wife's GX has it, and I would really like it on the Tundra. I added a front cam, so its better, but still. As for the back window, I love it, especially with the headache rack, I can leave it down while parked so the interior does not boil over. Great to hear you've had a good experience with it so far.

I remember on the old Autos when a bunch of people said they never want anything but leather. And the same people were gushing about the seats in the IS350.

They were floored when I told them it wasn't real leather...

^ It is really good.  And I imagine the Lexus stuff is a step up over the Softex.

Yes.

But the Softex is nice!

It was great in the Prius and in my BZ.

As you point out..It's nice stuff!!
