Today there was a Toyota round table with some of the Toyota Big Shots. My Japanese is not excellent but I deduced the following:

Toyota Century is becoming a brand of its own slotting above Lexus. Think Rolls and Bentley. Not sure if coming to North America. They are also making a Century luxury coupe.

They showed an LS rendering of a wild minivan thing. The original "LS" moniker was Luxury Sedan. Now they say the "S" can be defined as "Space". So Luxury Space. I suppose a minivan thing makes sense since there's an abundance of space. Lexus already makes a crazy luxurious minivan called the LM. Not sure if this would come up NA either.

They showed the 2027 Corolla. Looks good. Looks modern.

Confirmed Toyota GT3 Spec sports car. V8 turbo possibly with hybrid assist. I think it's getting shown at Tokyo Auto Salon.

New Toyota BZ4X about to drop has 750km range.

There might be more news..but that's all I could ascertain.

The LS minivan is certainly something.

It sure is!

In some Asian markets, minivans are the king shit of the luxury market.

I think this is more of a design study than anything. Akio even had a smirk on his face when talking about it! LOL 😆

So no specific mention of the next generation Supra, MR-2, or Celica?  No Mazda Miata rival?

Some crazy expensive sports car under the Lexus badge to bring an LFA type halo car is cool but doesn't get me excited as I am unlikely to ever afford one.
Past vehicles, 2016 VW Golf R, 2020 VW GLI, 2022 Honda Civic Si

Current vehicle, 2024 Acura Integra Type S

Also, a V8 might frighten you. LOL 😆
