Yes, another one! This week's ride is the CX-90 poster child, aka the top-trim Signature in model-exclusive Artisan red over white leather. It has all the buttons my GS-L doesn't have. It also has the mild hybrid straight-six, in H.O. guise, the main reason for taking this one out. Feels lighter on its feet than the PHEV, just about as fast but sounding better. Urban fuel economy is impressive, I'm at 10.2 so far with tons of back-to-school traffic. Bose stereo leagues ahead of the regular unit. Fancy light wood looks like yellowed plastic in a white interior, and the hatch still doesn't open high enough.

At least the carpets are black! Feels more upscale than my GS-L, as it should.

I find the same thing with the hatch on my CX-70, I've tried to reset it to open fully, but it seems like even with that I can push it up another 2-3". I didn't bother test driving the PHEV when I was shopping, but it's funny how you find the MHEV light on it's feet, whereas it feels quite heavy to me compared to my old Passport...  ;D

In the end I'm amazed of how well-tuned the MHEV system is. Lots of engine-off coasting and such. The results is a 10.1 avg for the week, better than what I get in the Crosstrek !!!

That's pretty solid mileage for the week. How many kms were on your test unit? Just wondering if it has been broken in a bit, I'm thinking these might get better as the miles pile up. I know my Passport got better as I added kms on it.

All my pics have the "A" trip showing, don't recall the odo but it was past break-in. I usually check to see how new the vehicle is at pick-up, then reset the trip and forget the number. A 2025 at this time of year is nearing the end of its press-fleet run, so probably between 4k and 5k.
