Mercedes-Benz Canada quietly discontinued the C63 AMG

I'm sure we talked on the old site about how ridiculous it was that Mercedes replaced the old V8 C63 with a four cylinder one even if it has 671 hp, and the reviews of it have not been particularly kind.

There's also been a lot of talk about it being a failure and it turns out that it was only available in Canada for a single model year and has been dropped for 2025 – although I can't actually find any confirmation of that but it's no longer on the Mercedes site and all of the ones on AutoTrader are 2024s (including some brand new leftover models).

Seems like this has been a giant misstep by Mercedes and it should get a new engine next year – I suspect it will be an I6 but there are also rumors that the V8 is coming back.

On the plus side it does seem like Canada is getting the 2026 E53 AMG wagon, with an I6.

Ram is bringing the Hemi V8 back, so maybe Mercedes will do the same?  ;D

We can only hope! Supposedly there's no E63 with this generation either but maybe that will change?

Car and Drive published this today. Not surprising.
