Title: Continental Viking Contact 7 snow tire review
Post by: Johnnymac on Dec 06, 2024, 03:47 PM
Just wanted to share a picture of my winter setup and impressions of the Conti winter tires.  I have 18 inch Fast Wheels FC04 are the model and were quite light setup and want to say they are lighter than my summers.  Mind you they are an inch smaller in diameter and 1 1/2 inches narrower.

It has snowed here a couple of times recently and so far I'm pretty impressed with these tires.  I would put them on par for snow and dry performance to the Blizzak WS90's I've had in the past.  Not much ice out there yet, so no real impressions to give there.

Looking good!

Would have been better in gold or bronze!

It really would have been nice if the bronze version had fit, but alas PMC tire told me they would not.

Did you check the date on those tires?   PMC Tires is the company that sold me 12 year old Goodyears

I did, they were all date stamped for mid 2024, so really fresh stock.  I remember that post, weren't those on clearance or something?  There should be a rule about how old a tire can be to sell to the public.

They were super cheap, but didn't mention how old they were.  I sent them back.   I complained to Goodyear and found out Goodyear tires don't age while in storage, they only start aging once installed. ;)

Still very impressed with these Continental winter tires.  I swear they feel as good if not better than the Blizzaks I have run over the past decade.

I have a set of Conti Vikings on this week's ride (Buick Encore GX Avenir) and they are really good. We just got 40 cm and are getting another 35 on Sunday!

I'm genuinely impressed with them and put them on par with Blizzaks and XIce.
