Title: VW Rust Warranty is Useless
Post by: Tortoise on Feb 11, 2025, 09:58 AM
Over two years ago I filed a claim with VW to repair rust in the wheel wells under their corrosion warranty. The service advisor assured me that it would be covered, and I believed him since pi314 had his repair covered at that time.

Welp, I received an e-mail from the dealership saying the claim was denied with no further explanation.  I have the case # and a contact phone number, and plan to reach out when I have some time.

I don't really expect to get anywhere, but beyond complaining to VW, do I have any recourse?

Beyond contacting VW Canada, your only option is probably small claims court.

Keep pushing them.Ask for the exact reason it was denied because they should be able explain it. If that goes nowhere, escalate it to VW corporate and ask for other review.
